CONDOLENCES:  To Mark Sachon who lost his grandmother, Esther Sachon last week.  Esther was 109 years old and the oldest Jewish person in the UK.  We send our good wishes to Mark and his sister, Alison Sharp and both their families.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: to Neil Mendoza, Celia Rutstein and Reggie Goldner who celebrate their birthdays this week.

Booking Now Open for Masorti Women’s Forum:  Masorti Judaism’s popular Women’s Forum is back for its Third Year at New London Synagogue on Sunday 5th March at 2pm. Activists, authors and academics will be discussing the theme Women’s Rights are Human Rights and its relevance to Judaism.  We are delighted to announce that our concluding Session will be a conversation with psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, writer and social critic, Susie Orbach.  New London Synagogue, 33 Abbey Rd, London NW8 0AT.   For a full list of speakers, and to book click here.  Cost: Adults £6 in advance, £10 on the door.  Free for 12 – 18 year olds.

SAMS PRESENTS:  Masorti Judaism invite you to hear Attorney Yizhar Hess at St Albans Masorti Synagogue (SAMS) on Sunday 26th March from 3 – 5pm.   Afternoon tea will follow a welcome from Rabbi Carl Wolkin, and the recently formed SAMS Singers.  Yizhar, the Executive Director of the Masorti Movement in Israel, will be addressing the many pressing issues that will determine Israel’s future.  RSVP for security purposes by Sunday 19th March if you would like to attend.
