Monday 22nd April – Shacharit and Siyum
First-borns should fast on the day leading up to Seder night; but the tradition is that this fast is cancelled by attending a ‘siyum’ (finishing a unit of Jewish study), eating at which is its own mitzvah. As such, we will have a morning minyan at shul at 8.15AM. After the service the Talmud class will make a siyum on the first 6 chapters of Masekhet Sotah of the Babylonian Talmud. The service including breakfast should take about an hour, please do come to support the minyan if possible!
