Change of Arrangements
Rabbi Natasha is leaving Mosaic Masorti as her secondment to us will have finished after 3 years. How time flies! Unfortunately she is feeling poorly and is off sick with Covid. Rabbi Natasha thanks those who have written to her this week which has cheered her up.
There will still be a:-
- Friday night service and dinner at the home of Linda and Edwin at 7.00 pm,
- kiddish and a special lunch thereafter – hopefully outside at Gill and David’s, which is within walking distance of the Guides
- havdalah service starting at 7.30 pm at the home of Linda and Edwin – if there is support. As of printing there are only 6 attendees including the hosts.
Please advise Gill gfross@btinternet.com if you plan to come to any of the events, as we have never been known to under cater and this will not be the first time either! All donations will be greatly appreciated and help to set up on the Shabbas would also be welcome..
New arrival
We are delighted to report that we have a new set of grandparents in the community. Tamar and Gary Italiaander’s daughter, Elise, whom we have known for years and is a regular contributor in Kehila, has given birth to a young lad. This is their first grandchild. We will report more when we know more.
Special kiddish
There will be a special kiddish in the garden of Elaine and Simon Glass after the service next weekend 9th July to toast their daughter Hannah and their son in law to be on their engagement. All shul members are invited but please advise elainep.glass@googlemail.com if you are attending as she will need to stock up on the Palwin.
Moving in
Everyone has received the brochure about making donations towards the fit out of our new home. The brochure has been sent out again, alongside the Kehila magazine. We need your support.
Refuah Schlemahs
We always mention people who are unwell at the Shabbat service and to wish them a speedy recovery. If you would like a person mentioned, please notify edwin.lucas6@googlemail.com by sunset on a Friday.
Sponsoring a kiddish
If you would like to sponsor a kiddish for any special occasion, like a birthday, anniversary, before going on a special journey, coming back from a special journey, new home, restored good health, please advise Ann in the office and she will see if the date is free admin@mosaicmasorti.org.uk.
Walking is still healthy
The Henry walks are fun and there is a refreshment built in at the end for all attendees. Join them every Tuesday to check it out for yourself. In the heat one can lose a few calories – before the cake part of the walk.
