Rabbi Anna Picture
Rabbi Anna from Mosaic Jewish Community is coming to The Guides this shabbat and will be delivering a dvar. Rabbi Anna is new to Mosaic and she is responsible for looking for new members of all ages and strands within Judaism and is going to be instrumental in helping the community grow. We will have the opportunity at the end of the service to find out more about Rabbi Anna and her role and ask her questions.
Next Shabbas 6th August, we will be having a kiddish sponsored by Lynn and Sam Charkham to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary.
If you would like to sponsor a kiddish for any special occasion, like a birthday, anniversary, before going on a special journey, coming back from a special journey, new home, restored good health, please advise Ann in the office and she will see if the date is free email@example.com.

The High Holy Day Kehila magazine will need all articles by Tuesday 9tH August. Please do not be shy and send us your articles.

The next scheduled Friday night services, followed by a meal at Rabbi Anthony’s will take place on 19th August and 16th September.

Numbers are limited to about 18, so please book early to guarantee a seat or two. As previously, we welcome any donations to help cover costs and you can talk to Rabbi Anthony about whether you might bring something with you for sharing.

We are hoping to move into our new home in around 3 weeks and would welcome schleppers to help schlepp our artefacts to our new home on the hill. Consultation on New Masorti Siddur
Work is beginning on planning for the potential creation of UK Masorti’s first ever siddur – and we want your views! Dedicated in memory of Rina Wolfson, z”l, Siddur Kol Rina will be a long-term project which hopefully will reflect the practices of our diverse communities and unite them in a shared resource in the future. R’ Adam from SAMS ( St Albans Masorti Synagogue ) will be leading the project and wants to speak with members of all of our Masorti communities to hear their views on what they would like to see in a siddur. Join him on Zoom at 5.00 pm on Sunday 21st August to learn more about the project and contribute to the planning process for this exciting project.
