THIS SUNDAY 7th August
Tisha b’Av

Join all three MJC synagogues for an intimate Tisha B’av service and study session. From 10.00 am – 11.30 am.  We’ll hear the text of Eicha (Lamentations) that is traditionally read at Tisha b’Av and learn together with Rabbis Anthony, Rachel and Anna. This will be held at Sylvia Lowe’s House near Northwick Park Station.

Thursday 11th August, 
Tu b’Av
6.30 pm – 8.00 pm This will be held at The Scout Hut
No better way to celebrate the Jewish festival of love than by getting to know each other better. The first part of our evening will be hybrid with Rabbi Dr Eli Levin and Congregation Darchei Noam where we’ll share our favourite love songs and poems. That will be followed by a chance to get to speak to Mosaic members who you may have known forever or may have just met.

Kabbalat Shabbat b’bayit with potluck dinner.
6.30 – 9.00 pm venue tbc
The first of what we hope will be many MJC Friday night services in peoples’ homes. We’ll start with a musical, contemplative Kabbalat Shabbat at 6.30 pm and dinner at 7.30 pm. People are welcome to come for all or some of the evening and don’t be afraid to come if you can only make it for the food! Please bring a dish for the potluck meal. We will be asking people to RSVP, so that we have an idea of numbers and can share the address.

Moving into Stanmore Hill Icon
Watch this space.

We are hoping to move into our new home in around 3 weeks and would welcome schleppers to help schlepp our artefacts to our new home on the hill. Please contact if you would like to assist for a few hours. At this stage Edwin is looking at 18th and 19th of August but this could change. Thanks so far to Andy, Gary, Gill, Joe and Julie. Please do not be shy.

Kehila magazine
The High Holy Day Kehila magazine will need all articles by this coming Tuesday 9tH August.  Again please do not be shy and send us your articles. Edwin and Joe have sent articles in to date.


High Holy Day services
The High Holy Day Services this year will take place in the Arts Centre Complex. More details to follow. Please come and join us for Erev Rosh Hashannah service at the Arts Centre on Sunday 25th September.  We will be having Tashlich on the Monday around 7.00 pm followed by a service  at the home of Rabbi Anthony and Abi.



Sponsoring a kiddish
Next Shabbas we will be having a kiddish sponsored by Helen and Marvyn Ellison to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

If you would like to sponsor a kiddish for any special occasion, like a birthday, anniversary, before going on a special journey, coming back from a special journey, new home, restored good health, please advise Ann in the office and she will see if the date is free

We always mention people who are unwell at the Shabbat service and to wish them a speedy recovery. If you would like a person mentioned, please notify by sunset on a Friday.





Rabbi Anthony is always available to chat to congregants and can meet up also in your home. If you have any wishes, or ideas, please advise Rabbi Anthony
