Kabbalat Shabbat b’bayit with potluck dinner.

The first of what we hope will be many MJC Friday night services in peoples’ homes. We’ll start with a musical, contemplative Kabbalat Shabbat at 6.30 pm and dinner at 7.30 pm. People are welcome to come for all or some of the evening and don’t be afraid to come if you can only make it for the food! Please bring a dish for the potluck meal. Please RSVP to rabbianna@choosemosaic.org so that we have an idea of numbers and can share the address.

Friday night at Rabbi Anthony and Abi’s home
There will be a Friday night Shabbat service and meal at Rabbi Anthoiny and Abi’s home, on Friday 19th August. Please book early and advise the office admin@mosaicmasorti.org.uk and rabbianthony@mosaicmasorti.org.uk if you plan to attend. Please book early. All  offers of  donations will be gratefully accepted.

Sunday 25th September – Visiting Cheshunt Cemetery before the High Holy Days
It is a tradition to visit the graves of relatives and friends before the High Holy Days.  On Sunday 25th September, at 10AM, we will meet at Cheshunt cemetery for a short service when members may take the opportunity to visit the graves of loved ones. All are invited to join the Rabbi in visiting graves of HEMS / MM community members who did not leave close family. Please contact edwin.lucas6@googlemail.com if you would like help with transport to take you to and from the cemetery.

High Holy Day services
The High Holy Day Services this year will take place in the Arts Centre Complex. More details to follow. Please come and join us for Erev Rosh Hashannah service at the Arts Centre on Sunday 25th September.

We will be having Tashlich on the Monday around 7pm followed by a service  at the home of Rabbi Anthony and Abi.

 

MOSAIC MASORTI AGM – Save the date
The AGM for Mosaic Masorti will be at 4.00 pm on Sunday 23rd October in the shul.

 

Sponsoring a kiddish
We, this Shabbas, will be having a kiddish sponsored by Helen and Marvyn Ellison, to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

If you would like to sponsor a kiddish for any special occasion, like a birthday, anniversary, before going on a special journey, coming back from a special journey, new home, restored good health, please advise Ann in the office and she will see if the date is free admin@mosaicmasorti.org.uk.
