Selichot Services
There is a service for the Masorti communities as per the attachment on
Saturday 3rd September at New London Synagogue

MJC will mark the first night of Selichot on Saturday 17th September. This is likely to take place at the Scout Hut. Havdalah will be at 8.15pm; a concert of Yamim Noraim music, led by the Liberal and Reform communities’ Music directors, will begin at 8.30; and Masorti Selichot Services will take place at 9.30pm.

 

 

 

Friday night at Rabbi Anthony and Abi’s home
There will be a Friday night Shabbat service and meal at Rabbi Anthoiny and Abi’s home, on Friday 16th September. Please advise Rabbi Anthony

Introductory/Youth Service – 11.00AM on Shabbat, 24th September
Especially aimed at younger members, and hopefully of more general interest, this shorter service will include ‘highlights’ of the Shabbat service, and some explanation of the structure and content of the service. Hopefully it will fairly informal introduction to what’s really going on at shul. This will take place at 11AM, upstairs at the Scout Hut, and before we join together with the main service for Kiddush at 12. All very welcome.

Sunday 25th September – Visiting Cheshunt Cemetery before the High HolyDays
It is a tradition to visit the graves of relatives and friends before the High Holy Days.  On Sunday 25th September, at 10AM, we will meet at Cheshunt cemetery for a short service when members may take the opportunity to visit the graves of loved ones. All are invited to join Rabbi Anthony in visiting graves of HEMS / MM community members who did not leave close family. Please contact edwin.lucas6@googlemail.com
if you would like help with transport,to take you to and from the cemetery.

High Holy Day services
The High Holy Day Services this year will take place in the Arts Centre Complex. More details will be issued in next week’s delivery of Kehila magazine . Please come and join us for Erev Rosh Hashannah service at the Arts Centre on Sunday 25th September.

 

 

 

We will be having Tashlich on Monday 26th September around 6.00pm followed by a service and meal at the home of Rabbi Anthony and Abi.

 

 

AGM for Mosaic Masorti
The AGM for Mosaic Masorti will be at 4.00 pm on Sunday 23rd October in the new
shul building. Please come and join us all.

If you would like to sponsor a kiddish for any special occasion, like a
birthday, anniversary, before going on a special journey, coming back from a special journey, new home, restored good health, please advise Ann in the office and she will see if the date is free

on a Friday.  We take this opportunity to report that Sam Charkham and RabbiSoetendorp are both making good progress after their recent bouts in hospital, post-surgery. We are delighted  to report that Anne Pinkus is back in the care location after a recent stay in hospital.
