Selichot Services
MJC will mark the first night of Selichot on this Shabbat 17th September at the Scout Hut. Havdalah will be at 8.15pm; a concert of Yamim Noraim music, led by the Liberal and Reform communities’ Music directors, will begin at 8.30. In addition Masorti Selichot Services will take place at 9.30pm.
Friday night at Rabbi Anthony and Abi’s home
There will be a Friday night Shabbat service and meal at Rabbi Anthoiny and Abi’s home, this Friday 16th September – which is tomorrow . Please advise Rabbi Anthony rabbianthony@mosaicmasorti.org.uk by 0900 if you would like to attend as he will need time to prepare. All offers of donations will be gratefully accepted.

Introductory/Youth Service – 11.00 AM on Shabbat, 24th September. That is next Shabbas
Especially aimed at younger members, and hopefully of more general interest, this shorter service will include ‘highlights’ of the Shabbat service, and some explanation of the structure and content of the service. Hopefully it will a fairly informal introduction to what’s really going on at shul. This will take place at 11am, upstairs at the Scout Hut, and before we join together with the main service for Kiddush at around 12noon. All very welcome.
Sunday 25th September – Visiting Cheshunt Cemetery before the High Holy Days Caption of cemetery
It is a tradition to visit the graves of relatives and friends before the High Holy Days. On Sunday 25th September, at 10.00 AM, we will meet at Cheshunt cemetery for a short service when members may take the opportunity to visit the graves of loved ones. All are invited to join Rabbi Anthony in visiting graves of HEMS / MM community members, who did not leave close family. Please contact edwin.lucas6@googlemail.com if you would like help with transport, to take you to and from the cemetery.

High Holy Day services Icon
The High Holy Day Services this year will take place in the Arts Centre Complex. The details were sent out with Kehila last week by hand or by post. Please come and join us for Erev Rosh Hashannah service at the Arts Centre on Sunday 25th September.
Tashlich
We will be having Tashlich on the Monday 26th September around 6.00 pm followed by a service and meal at the home of Rabbi Anthony and Abi. Please bring along the gift which you received with last week’s Kehila magazine, as it will aid proceedings.
