It is 43 days till erev Rosh Hashannah and all the HHD activities will start. We are meeting at the temple on Wood Lane in Stanmore. Access is easy and for those members who drive there will be ample parking. The earlier one comes to the services, the closer one will be to the service location.
The room we will be using can hold many more people than we are expecting. Please advise your relatives, friends and neighbours that there will be space for everyone who would like to join us over this special meaningful time. We are asking for a donation of £40 per ticket for the 5 days at the site.
We hope there will be a meal at a cost of £10 each at Halsbury Close for those wishing to break the fast with the community. If you’re interested please email admin@choosemosaic.org
There will be a youth offering at the site. If anyone would like to help in the running of this, please contact the shul office and we will put you in touch with the relevant person. If the weather is dry there is plenty of external activity area for the younger generation to be kept busy and we will be looking to ensure they enjoy the HHD experience with some learning theme as well.
On day 2 Rosh Hashanah there will be shofars on site, and everyone will have the opportunity to sound a shofar and we may find some new proficient blowers who can help with sounding tekiah gedowlah following Neilah.
We still have copies of the brand new HHD machzor available to buy. Please contact Rabbi Anthony directly if you would like to buy a copy. rabbianthony@mosaicmasorti.org.uk
We are looking for helpers to set up on Friday 15th September in the early afternoon and again on Sunday 24th September. In the early afternoon. If you are able to donate 1 hour of your time, that would be greatly appreciated. Please contact edwin.lucas6@googlemail.com
The High Holy Day magazine copy deadline is this Sunday 6th August. Please send in your articles with photos to newsdesk@choosemosaic.org
