Mosaic Masorti News

36 days from today we will be at the marquee at the Hindu temple site in Wood Lane starting off the High Holy Day season. We are all looking forward to welcoming each and everyone of you to our temporary shul. There is ample and I mean ample seating AND  there is a bonus for our younger members too.

Right next to our services,  there is going to be a wonderful young people’s activity AND a play area, for the younger generation to “swing” into the New Year.  It will be a wonderful experience for the children, as well as parents and grandparents so everyone will be happy.  Smiley icons

Security and list of who is coming
We will be keeping a list of all eligible members and visitors to the Temple site for our HHD services. Please advise the office if you would like visitor tickets for the services and also provide us with the names of all guests including children. There is a voluntary donation for all adult members of £40 per person for the 5 special services.

We will be sounding the shofar  on day 2  Rosh Hashannah. At the youth service there will be shofar sounding on day 2.  Please let your lungs savour the experience of sounding the shofar and you can then help to make a wonderful sound at the end of Yom Kippur when we will have a magical Tekiah Gedowlah. Do not be shy and give it  a try.

We will need volunteers to move the temporary ark, the sifrei torahs, machzors and pop ups to the Temple around 3pm on Friday 15th September which is Erev RH. If you can spare 50 minutes, that would be great and please advise Edwin who is the Schlepper leader.

We still have copies of the brand new HHD machzor available to buy. Please contact Rabbi Anthony directly if you would like to buy a copy. rabbianthony@mosaicmasorti.org.uk
