You will have seen the advert in the Jewish Chronicle for a rabbi for the Masorti movement. We are the small community that was highlighted. We hopefully will see the new rabbi at festivals and once per month for shabbat services, as well as sessions on a weekly basis.
You will be delighted to hear that there has been a flurry of responses to the advert. We will be part of the selection team for the new rabbi and we are hopeful that we will have the chance to meet some of the candidates during March. Whist we hope that some will lead shabbat services at HEMS, there may be some evening sessions taking place in Abbey Road. We will advise everyone of dates, with as much notice as we can. This is our rabbi to be, and we want as many people as possible to meet the candidates. Watch this space.
