Knitting group

Mosaic member, Barbara Altman, belongs to a small, local, very friendly Jewish knitting group, started up about six years ago.  They knit squares that are sewn together to make blankets, baby clothes, hats and scarves and these items are sent to Former Soviet Union countries and Israel for the children and elderly who need warm winter items to help them survive the bitterly cold winters they endure. They knit in members’ homes every week, on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays, some mornings and some afternoons  (depending on parking restrictions). They would love to recruit some new members. Also if anyone has any wool they would like to donate it would be very gratefully received.  Please contact Barbara via the office for further details.
