Mosaic run various Adult Education classes and programmes, led by our Rabbis usually on Saturday mornings at 9:30am prior to the Shabbat morning service. Most recently, Rabbi Frank Dabba Smith and Rabbi Kathleen de Magtige-Middleton ran a programme of Adult Education entitled ‘Zionist Thinkers and Activists: Biographies, Writings, and Legacies’. In each session, they discussed influential figures in the history of Zionism, from Ze’ev Jabotinsky to Rav Kook.
The Rabbis also run a monthly Parashat HaShavua session, in which they study the week’s Torah portion, drawing from ancient and modern commentaries in addition to their own insights. Come let the Torah portion come alive at these discussions, and find out what a wealth of knowledge is hidden in those texts which we know so well.
For the dates of the next Adult Education sessions, see the most recent copy of Kehila, the Mosaic monthly magazine, which can be found here.
