He grew up in South West London, in a family of committed progressive Jews. He is going to do his placement with us in this coming academic year, which means we will get to know him over Shabbatot and events.
Anthony studied English Literature at Cambridge University, where he began his involvement with the Masorti movement. He currently works at New North London Synagogue, and as a hospital chaplain in Kingston.
He lives in Putney with his wife, Abi, and two young daughters – and they are all very much looking forward to getting to know the Mosaic Masorti community and the wider Mosaic Jewish Community.
Rabbi Natasha will also be working with him separately as a rabbinic mentor. She says, “I’m looking forward to getting to know Anthony better, and to welcoming him and his family, and to this opportunity to build relationships.” Anthony has already made links with Rabbi Kathleen and Rabbi Rachel and is excited to be working with us at this pivotal stage in our community’s development. His first Shabbat visit will take place at the end of July, the 30th/31st, on Shabbat Eikev.
