Statement from Harrow Interfaith regarding the London Bridge attack on 3rd June 2017
Today, as many of us celebrate birth and new life in God’s spirit, our thoughts turn to last evening’s London Bridge atrocity. We condemn and abhor this evil act and all terrorist activity.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and those who are bereaved.
We praise the care and bravery of the police, emergency services and all who assisted the injured and distressed in the streets, Borough Market, ambulances and hospitals.
In our turn we maintain our resolve to work for harmony, justice and community solidarity in Harrow and elsewhere, while keeping ourselves safe and vigilant.
We extend blessings to all who seek to oppose evil and promote peace by good thoughts, good words and good deeds.
