Urgent appeal to help past MNS member find a matching bone marrow donor

We would like to share this urgent appeal below from Mosaic Reform Judaism Board member, Jonni Berger, to help his mother Sharon (past member of Middlesex New Synagogue), who has Leukaemia and needs a stem cell transplant as the only cure.

If you’re able, we are asking you to join the bone marrow stem cell register to help to potentially save Sharon’s life and the lives of many others in the Jewish community and elsewhere who have blood cancer.

Ages 16-30 can join the register by requesting a saliva testing kit from Anthony Nolan which will be sent to you in the post www.anthonynolan.org

Ages 30-55 can join via DKMS Delete Blood Cancer www.dkms.org.uk

Please do what you can to help. A matching stem cell donor is most likely to come from those with Jewish heritage.  Thank you on behalf of Jonni and his wife, Rabbi Miriam Berger of Finchley Reform Synagogue, and the Berger family.
