Masorti Judaism “Angels of History”

Angels of History: How our history and bodies are interconnected, beginning 7th November. Join a small group meeting one Sunday evening a month to collectively process the impact of historical Jewish trauma and the ways Jews have responded. The main builder of Stanmore Hill will be interviewed, as will other key movers and shakers in the community.  If you have any questions or points to make, please drop me an email edwin.lucas6@googlemail.com and I will forward every question and point of view, to the key people and come back with responses.

It will soon be 200 days till we daven on the “Hill” which is really exciting and our new home will be part and parcel of our new life. Please join us for a wonderful hour with  6 talented and enthusiastic presenters of our lives for “tomorrow”. Tomorrow will soon be here and we look forward to seeing you there.

Kehila Copy Date

This is to remind you that the copy date for the next Kehila is midday on Wednesday 13th October.  It will be published on Thursday 28th October. We are looking for articles on topics you are passionate about. Please tell us about your feelings about the High Holy Days and how you felt about going back to services or, alternatively, the garden yizkor or reflecting at home or in the park.

We are also keen to hear your ideas about the challenges of the New Year we have just started.

Teachers Wanted for HaMakom

HaMakom is looking for two enthusiastic teachers for Sunday mornings. You would be responsible for planning and teaching lessons in Jewish Studies and Hebrew for children aged between 7 and 11 years.

HaMakom runs every Sunday during term time (about 30 weeks) plus one staff meeting and one teacher training day each year.

We ensure that all teachers have high quality teaching resources and books to work with and we provide lots of support with planning and classroom management.

Previous teaching experience is desirable, but not essential. This is a paid role.
