Sunday Services during the month of Ellul

During the month of Ellul, in the lead up to Rosh Hashanah, it is customary to blow the shofar each day at the morning service. We will be holding a Sunday Shacharit service, by Zoom, on every Sunday, during the month of Ellul. The final one will be on:-

  • Sunday 13 September.

    This is a first for HEMS / Mosaic Masorti. The service will start at 09.30 and last for around 30 minutes.

Rabbi Natasha’s next Shabbat with Mosaic Masorti

Rabbi Natasha will be spending Shabbat Yitro (14th/15th February), with Mosaic Masorti/HEMS.  The Friday night service and meal will be at the home of Traci Spivack & Richard Buchalter at 7.00 pm.  The Saturday morning service will commence at 9.30 am at the Girl Guides Headquarters followed by kiddush/lunch.  This is the third event of our 2020 celebrations which we have called our First Timers’ service. Come and support our first timers of all ages in this inspirational service.  Please arrive in good time as we’re expecting a fantastic turnout.  Havdalah will be at the home of Linda & Edwin Lucas.
Cost for Friday night is £10 per head and £25 per family.  No charge will be levied for kiddush lunch but donations will be gratefully received.  Payment can be by cheque (payable to HEMS) or directly into the HEMS bank account (reference 14th February). For catering purposes, please let the office know which events you will be attending

Launch of HEMS 2020 & a 100th birthday celebration

Rabbi Natasha will be spending Shabbat Vayechi (10th/11th January), with Mosaic Masorti/HEMS.  The Friday night service and meal will be at the home of Elaine & Simon Glass at 7.00 pm.  This is our first 2020 function and will be an Israeli “street food” style evening.  Please support Michelle & Dan Honey who are organising this exciting start to the HEMS year.  The Saturday morning service will commence at 9.30 am at the Girl Guides Headquarters followed by kiddush/lunch.  Havdalah, led by Rabbi Natasha, will be at Elton Hall, Elton Way, Watford WD25 8HA (Next to Costco) at 5.45 pm.  This is the home of our member, Lore Lucas, who will be celebrating her 100th birthday.
Cost for Friday night is £10 per head and £25 per family.  No charge will be levied for kiddush lunch but donations will be gratefully received.  Payment can be by cheque (payable to HEMS) or directly into the HEMS bank account (reference 27th December). Rabbi Natasha will be spending Shabbat Mikketz (27th/28th December), with Mosaic Masorti/HEMS.  The Friday night service and meal will be at the home of Linda & Edwin Lucas at 7.00 pm.  The Saturday morning service will commence at 9.30 am at the Girl Guides Headquarters followed by kiddush/lunch.  Havdalah and Chanukah lighting will be at Bessborough Road at 6.00 pm.  Doughnuts will be served!
Cost for Friday night is £10 per head and £25 per family.  No charge will be levied for kiddush lunch but donations will be gratefully received.  Payment can be by cheque (payable to HEMS) or directly into the HEMS bank account (reference 27th December). For catering purposes, please let the office know which events you will be attending
