Debbie is both a GP and an artist. She has been a member of Mosaic Liberal Synagogue for 42 years and has been their Shofar blower for most of that time!
Debbie has always loved bright colours and colour combinations. The canvases are painted with acrylic paint, created by pouring the paint mixed with a pouring medium, onto a canvas. Others are ‘splattered’ in her back garden.
Some paintings are in a style called ‘Dutch Pours’, where the paint is blown across the canvas, using a hair dryer or straw, to move and mix the paints resulting in intriguing patterns and unusual formations.
She uses the same process to paint glass, creating colourful bowls, vases and the bases of wine glasses. She also creates clocks with paint poured over vinyl records.
Painted jewellery is another creative passion of hers.
