Culture Hub : Visit to Koestler Show of Prisoner Art and Poetry

There will be a visit to the annual show of serving prisoner art, craft and poetry at the QE2 Centre on the Southbank on Wednesday 29th November starting at 3pm.

The Show ‘IN CASE OF EMERGENCY’ will feature nearly 200 artworks across visual, writing and music categories entered into the 2023 Koestler Awards for art in the criminal justice system, by individuals in prisons, secure mental health facilities, immigration removal centres, young offender institutions and on community sentences across the UK.

The exhibition includes artworks made from crisp packets, prison issue soap, rice, seeds and even clinical waste bags.

There is a facility to buy items and also have tea on site. The guided part of the visit will take around 90 minutes. You can stay as long as you want.
