The true story of a group Nazi activists, who in 1977 planned a march through the predominantly Jewish community of Skokie. The town officials and the national Jewish organisation advise the citizens to ignore them as legally there is nothing they can do. But one citizen (Danny Kaye), a death camp survivor argues that he heard the same advice nearly forty years ago in Germany and before he knew it he was in a concentration camp. He says this time, if Nazis march he won’t ignore them; he will take action. The Mayor (Ed Flanders) and his legal counsel (Eli Wallach) do what they can to stop the Nazis, so their leaderFrank Collin (GeorgeDzundza) looks to the ACLU, only to be represented by a Jewish constitutionalist lawyer(John Rubinstein) who argues the First Amendment “Freedom of Speech”. The case goes to court. This is the powerful story of what happened. It resonates today!  (This is a 44 year old TV movie – Unfortunately subtitles are Not Available)
