Israel’s Wars and the Increasing Anti-Semitism in the UK

Mosaic Jewish Community will be holding a panel discussion between up to 5 distinguished speakers, in particular looking at how anti-Semitism is affecting their own area of influence.  The panellists will include Alex Brummer, multi award winning journalist. City Editor for the Daily Mail since 2000. Previously at the Guardian for 26 years. A regular contributor and Chair of the Editorial Board at Jewish News. Among other posts previously chair of the UK arm of the charity ‘The Abraham Initiatives’; Fiyaz Mughal OBE from Tell Mama and Faith Matters. He will also be speaking about Islamophobia; David Hirsh, co-founder of Engage, a campaign against the academic boycott of Israel and Senior Lecturer of Sociology at Goldmiths (University of London).  David is an acknowledged expert on anti-Semitism; Sami Berkoff, recently appointed as the President of the Union of Jewish Students with responsibility for representing Jewish students at British Universities and Hannah Weisfeld, Executive Director of Yachad, actively  mobilising British Jews to support a political resolution to the Israel-Palestine Conflict

 

The evening debate, held at 1a Halsbury Close, Stanmore HA7 3DY,  will be chaired by our own Steve Levinson and commence at 8.00 pm with doors opening at 7.30 pm.
