Wednesday, 4th September @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

  £7.00 – £10.00

Liesel’s Story :  Man Proposes  –  God Disposes

Mosaic Culture Hub invites you to a presentation by our member Joan Noble.

Join us for a light lunch before Joan relates her family story of her mother and grandparents based around a diary written in 1933 by her mother at the age of 16.

The contents of the diary were unknown until recently when it was transcribed from old style German and translated, relating much about the normal life of a teenage girl living in pre-war Germany whilst history was being made. Her mature insight into those crucial years records vividly when life totally changed.

Subsequently details emerged years later when research by a local German Historian filled in the unanswered gaps and facts of the Holocaust, revealing the fate of Joan’s grandparents.

Please book via the Mosaic website by Wednesday 28th August for catering purposes. There is a £7 charge which will increase to £10 from 29th August.
