Peace Now Session – On Zoom Only

Wednesday, 11th June @ 7:30 pm

Resisting Annexation, Promoting the Two-State Solution: Peace Now’s Vision and Actions Towards a Better Path Forward, online speaker from Peace Now, direct from Israel

Since October 7th, the Netanyahu-Smotrich-Ben Gvir government has continued and even accelerated its trend of settlement expansion, establishment of new illegal outposts, and provocations in the West Bank. In this session, we will delve into the dynamics behind these actions, highlighting their impact on the prospects for a two-state solution. We will outline Peace Now’s vision for achieving a two-state solution and discuss the critical role of the movement and the Israeli peace camp in promoting meaningful progress. Drawing on insights from Peace Now’s renowned Settlement Watch team, we will offer strategic perspectives on countering annexation efforts and advancing the cause of a two-state solution.

Mosaic members are invited to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Peace Now is the longest-standing Israeli NGO dedicated to promoting a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through advocacy for a two-state solution and ending the occupation. It also systematically monitors and reports on developments related to Israeli settlements in the West Bank

This session is organised by Yachad, a British Jewish organisation whose primary mission is to empower British Jews to support a political resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Yachad is a significant voice within the mainstream British-Jewish community. We have thousands of supporters, are a member of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and work closely with a variety of communal bodies. We offer a wide range of educational events in synagogues and other Jewish communal spaces, and work with youth movements, Jewish student societies, Jewish schools and others. We work closely with civil society and political partners in Israel and MPs across the political spectrum in the UK.
