Join us for a session of “Untangling Our Tradition” which will now be held in-person.
This session will cover “Jewish History: Later, an introduction with Dr Joseph Finlay”.
These two sessions will be an introduction to Jewish history, or an introduction to thinking about Judaism historically.
In this second session we will consider the various approaches Jewish historians have taken and how they might help us understand our place in Jewish history.
Dr Joseph Finlay holds a PhD in History from the University of Southampton, where his focus was modern British Jewish history. The autumn he will be a visiting fellow at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies.
