Please contact Jonathan Fenster via the shul office, for more details and if you would like to join the singing group.

In the Ashkenazi tradition, special Selichot (prayers of repentance) are said several days before Rosh Hashanah and it is customary to have a service at midnight after the preceding Shabbat.  It is an inspiring preparation for the High Holydays.  Many shuls have large choral events but the Masorti one is smaller and encourages participation.  The music is evocative, lyrical and designed for everyone to join in.  The service introduces some of the familiar melodies used during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
