Tashlich with Rabbi Arberman will be at 5pm on Monday 3rd October. Please meet at the bottom of the alley of Woodhall Avenue. This is just past the junction of Lawn Vale, Hatch End, HA5 3DJ.
Tashlich is a ritual performed at a natural body of flowing water (e.g. a river, lake, sea or ocean) usually performed on the afternoon of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. We are symbolically throwing away our sins when small pieces of bread are thrown into the water. We will concentrate on what we want to cast away from our lives, read a few Biblical verses, and start off the New Year feeling refreshed and optimistic for a good year.
