Double Bill – “A Kid For Two Farthings” & “The Bespoke Overcoat”

Tuesday, July 31

These two Classic black and white films released in 1955, are being shown back to back in a unique Film Mosaic Double Bill.  A Kid for Two Farthings (Directed by Carol Reed and written by Wolf Mankowitz) shows a nostalgic glimpse of life in the East End and includes the likes of Diana Dors, Celia Johnson and David Kossoff. The Bespoke Overcoat is also from the pen of Wolf Mankowitz and again stars David Kossoff, this time alongside Alfie Bass. These are lovely movies invoking a “sense of Jewishness”, humour, spirituality and warmth. Because of their combined running time (130 minutes) we will be starting at 7:45 pm (No Subtitles available)
