Our next walk will meet at 10.00 am in the car park at Northala Fields, Kensington Road, Northolt UB5 6UR. We will climb one of the four conical mounds at the edge of the A40 for the 360 degree views right across London. There is an easy circular path to follow for the climb to the top, from where you can see Canary Wharf and central London.
If you approach the A40 from West End Road, head east bound, join the A40 and stay on the left hand lane, leave at the next roundabout and continue in the left hand slip road which will bring you to Kensington Road. Turn right at the T junction, go under the A40, and shortly after turn right into a car park by Northala Fields. You will see the mounds from far away. If the car park is full, there is another on the A40 exit route. The car park is not well sign posted and easy to miss. Coffee will be served at the conclusion of the walk.
