On Tuesday, Eyal Roth gave a virtual walking tour of Berlin.
We visited the site of the women’s protest in the Rosenstraße, took a look at an old cemetery (1672) where the father of the Jewish enlightenment movement, Mozes Mendelssohn, is buried and had a look at the Neue synagogue (built 1866) with its impressive Morish design complete with pipe organ and mixed choir. Between the sites Eyal wove in the story of Berlin’s Jews during the period of the third Reich.
