Mosaic Culture Hub invites you to ‘Meet The Local Policing Lead for Harrow,’  Superintendent Zubin Writer

Join us for a light lunch before Superintendent Zubin Writer explains the journey that has led him to being the local policing lead for Harrow, and how that has influenced a completely different way of tackling crime, increasing public trust and raising standards. This ensures a performance that is now at the highest level ever recorded for Harrow local police.

This will be followed by an informal Q&A for audience members to ask any questions.

Mosaic Culture Hub invites you to ‘Meet The KC’ HH Nigel Lithman

Join us for a light lunch before HH Nigel Lithman KC presents  “Nothing Like The Truth” – in law and in life. Pre and post 7th October 2023.”

Nigel  was a Criminal Silk at the Bar for over 20 years of a career of over 40 years. In that time he defended in over 100 murder trials and many other substantial cases.  He was Chairman of the Criminal Bar Association and led the Bar in its strike against the government.

Nigel’s book, “Nothing Like the Truth” is available on Amazon.

Meet Jack Matthews, Chairman of Norwood Old Scholars

Mosaic Culture Hub invites you to meet Jack Matthews, Chairman of Norwood Old Scholars.

Join us for a light lunch before a presentation by Jack Matthews about the history of Norwood’s Jewish orphanage, with memories of his experience as a Norwood Boy, illustrated with drawings and photos of how the organisation evolved over the years, and interesting anecdotes.

Jack was born in Liverpool in 1938. Just after the war in 1948 he was sent to the Jewish orphanage in west Norwood south London and was there for five years, leaving in 1953.

He was then fostered by Mr and Mrs Fox and lived with them and their two children Jeffrey and Elaine until he began training as an apprentice chef at J. Lyons at the age of 15.

Jack went on to develop a successful career, meeting his wife in 1960, with whom he had two daughters and two grandsons. He retired as Director of Catering at Tesco’s Head Office and then moved into the world of film and TV.
