Knit and Natter

Wednesday, 7th January @ 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Come along to our Knit and Natter and Crochet and Kibbitz group. An opportunity to share this fulfilling hobby with others, make new friends and enjoy tea and biscuits in a welcoming atmosphere.  Suitable for all ages and all levels.

When?  Usually the first Wednesday of each month.

Shabbat Beiteinu with Potluck Dinner

Friday, 9th January @ 6:30 pm

Choose between a joint Liberal/Reform service 6.30 (also via Zoom) or a Masorti service at 6.45 followed by dinner at 7.30. People are welcome to come for all or some of the evening and don’t be afraid to come if you can only make it for the food!

Please bring a vegetarian or fish dish for a potluck dinner and if you require Rabbinically supervised food (KLBD), please let us know.

We are asking people to RSVP (preferably by midday on the day before the event) so that we have an idea of the numbers.  Please email  beiteinu@choosemosaic.org

Drop In And Play Group

Monday, 12th January @ 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

 A drop-in and play group for all kids and their grown-ups on Monday afternoons. There’ll be toys, soft play, and art activities for the kids to explore giving their grownups a chance to have a drink and talk to other parents, carers, and grandparents in the area. Meet the Author – Hyman Wolanski

Wednesday, 14th January @ 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Culture Hub invites you to meet Hyman Wolanski, author of ‘Jews, Nazis and The Holocaust: What You Need to Know.’

Join us for a light lunch before Hyman delves into how antisemitism developed over the centuries and morphed from religious antisemitism, where the Jews were held responsible for the death of Jesus Christ, into Nazi antisemitism, where it was deemed necessary to murder all the Jews.

Please book via the Mosaic website by Wednesday 7th January for catering purposes.  There is a £7 charge which will increase to £10 from 8th January.

Raising Awareness & Supporting People with Mental Ill Health

Saturday, 17th January @ 12:15 pm

Following an enhanced kiddush lunch, Dr Leon Rozewicz, a consultant psychiatrist, will speak on the subject of supporting people with mental ill health.  This will be followed by a Q & A session with the event ending by 2.30 pm.

An opportunity to hear from Masorti Director of Strategy, and Senior Rabbi at SAMS, Adam Zagoria-Moffet. Adam will be reflecting on the particular ideology, work and role of Masorti Judaism today.


Music for Memory

Thursday, 29th January @ 11:00 am to 12:30 pm

Music for memory is a supportive and friendly therapeutic singing group for people who are experiencing memory loss and associated difficulties.
Our professional, highly experienced facilitator will lead everyone in singing well-loved classics which are sure to uplift and bring smiles and laughter to all.  Each session starts with a half-hour of social time and refreshments.

You are welcome to come on your own or together with a family member or supportive friend.

These sessions will continue on the last Thursday of each month from 11:00 to 12:30.

Meet the Author – Gary Italiaander

Wednesday, 25th February @ 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Culture Hub invites you to meet Gary Italiaander, author of ‘’The Amazing Art of Michael Italiaander’

Join us for a light lunch before Gary gives an illustrated talk on his father’s artwork which covered four genres: Fine Art; Advertising Art; Illustrations & Cartoons.

Gary will tell the stories behind the artist and the amazing body of work that he produced, starting with his work as the youngest British war artist at that time.

One of Michael’s works is in The Private Collection at Buckingham Palace. This talk will show how one artist created such a diverse, huge collection of art.

Please book via the Mosaic website by Wednesday 18th February for catering purposes.  There is a £7 charge which will increase to £10 from 19th February.
