Israel@Mosaic

At Mosaic, Israel is very much in the forefront of our thoughts, especially following the events of October 7th 2023 in Israel.

We therefore have introduced a number of activities to focus ourselves on the positive ongoing life within Israeli Society.

These include Israeli Dancing, Singing, and Hebrew Learning. The provision of Films to view from Israeli Film Directors. Discussions on the political scene as well as programmes covering Tourism.

We are also in contact with our Israeli Twin in Ramat Hasharon, Darchei Noam as well as our recently adopted community at Kibbutz Re’im

Israel – A Sharing Space

Tuesday, 18th November @ 8:00 pm

This has been a difficult two years for Jews around the world – navigating the trauma of the 7th of October, and the many months of devastating conflict which followed. This evening will provide a reflective space, held by our three Rabbis, for all members who would like to speak and think together about their relationship with Israel. Please RSVP to the office if you would like to attend. admin@choosemosaic.org

Intermediate Chit-Chat b’Ivrit

Thursday, 20th November @ 11:00 am to 12:30 pm

This is an opportunity for people to get together and have coffee and conversations in Hebrew.  It assumes some basic level of Hebrew but the aim is to converse and improve. It may have to include some grammar!!

Sessions are held fortnightly and the cost is £10.

Monday, 15th December @ 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Following the highly successful evening on 18th June, we’re delighted to welcome back Ivor Goldberg who has been conducting singing sessions for the community.  These “Sing For Israel” evenings prove to be very valuable for many people who feel the need to connect with other Jews and to the community, and of course to Israel during these endless difficult times.

£10 per person.  See below to buy your ticket.

Come and sing some of your favourite Israeli songs together in the true Israeli tradition of “Shira B’Tzibur”.

Singing together is always good for the soul, spirit and for the universe. Lyrics will be projected on screen.
